Accessibility Statement
Our commitment to making this website usable by everyone.
Vicarage Farm Care Home is committed to making this website accessible to as many people as possible. We want everyone who visits to be able to access the information they need, regardless of the device they use or any disability they may have.
Our target standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including those who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, voice control, or other assistive technologies.
What we have done
In building this website we have made efforts to:
- Provide sufficient colour contrast between text and backgrounds
- Use clear, plain English throughout
- Ensure all images have descriptive alternative text
- Structure pages with proper headings so they are easy to navigate
- Make forms and interactive elements usable by keyboard
- Include a visible skip-to-content link at the top of every page
- Ensure pages work on a range of screen sizes and devices
Known limitations
While we have worked to meet the WCAG 2.1 AA standard, we do not claim full compliance. Some older or embedded content (such as maps) may not fully meet the standard. We are committed to improving accessibility where issues are identified.
